SurpassHosting sent me a scheduled maintenance “warning” yesterday, but I think this is gonna be slightly different from the previous ones, because it is due to a server upgrade; this means the server could be off for longer than it is on minor maintenances (SH warns the server capacity will be half of what it is normally) and Ravissant could possibly have some dowtime. SH usually never lets that happen but, int the extreme case it does, you will know the origin of the issue.
Anyway, here are the maintenance data.
We will be performing an upgrade to one of our edge routers in order to increase capacity.
Sunday, May 19th from 5:00AM to 2:00AM EDT
We understand the importance of little to no downtime while performing maintenance and for this reason we will be doing everything we can in order to expedite the procedure. Due to the nature of the maintenance, we will experience reduced capacity (50%) between our network POP in Miami and our facility in Orlando during the maintenance window. This should not directly impact any of your direct services but we still wish to provide you notice so that you are aware of the work being done to improve the capacity and stability of our network.
This is the first part of a 4-parts maintenance that’s gonna take place in the next months.
I’m sure everything will go as smoothly as usual, though, but for any concern and/or issue, I’m at your disposal.

SurpassHosting sent me a mail to warn me of a scheduled maintenance on our server whos’s gonna take place this sunday, and as a good host, I’m letting you know with this entry – and by contacting all my hostees one by later later, to have them come here and read this entry.
Anyway, without much further ado, here go the specific details of the maintenance; be sure to check date and hours.
Action to be taken:
The server for Core is being rebooted for a software update.
All clients of all branches will be unable to access Core for the duration of this maintenance.
Sunday, April 28th from 11:00PM to 12:00AM EDT
Estimated amount of downtime:
We understand the necessity of uptime for you and your clients, and our team will be working as quickly as possible to complete this task. As of now our admins estimate about 10 minutes of Core being inaccessible.
Here we go, nothing else left to say.
This is the only hassle you’re gonna have from this downtime, since all past maintencance caused no trouble at all to Ravissant and its members.
