About Ravissant

Ravissant.Org is a small hosting site owned by me, Lucien.
In addition to Ravissant, I’m also the proud owner of some websites, collected under the Eternity Network. Go visit! ♥

My decision to open a hosting server was due to two main reasons: first reason is utterly stupid, whilst the second is a bit more serious.

1. FIRST REASON :: I’m a quite a spoiled person.
   When I see something I like, and it’s in my reach, my inner I-want-it-too!!-I-want-it-too!! persona comes out saying open your own, open your own; that’s why, after seeing many sites offering free hosting, I decided to open my own hosting site….nevermind that I have next-to-none experience at managing a WHM cPanel and creating subdomains and, most relevant thing, I’m veeeery short at money right now! XD
2. The second reason is my feelings towards way-small hosting packages. I explain: many free hosting sites I’ve visited tend to start with small packages of 50-100MB…WTF?!?! O.O Are those webmasters mental? There’s no way someone can manage a good site – even if it’s a blog – having such a tiny disc space; once you’ve loaded the site layout, the CMS folder and a couple more folders, you’ve already consumed all of your space.
   So, a strong and deep resolution to offer a service where you could manage a decent graphics site even with the smallest packaged offered was born within me, which eventually led to Maleficent.Org.

Ravissant.Org was created via Namecheap and is hosted by SurpassHosting on their POWER package.
It’s a very reliable company, on where I have had very few moments of downtime and – seen how many clients they have – that’s the only issue I’ll have. Plus, their support is very prepared and helpful; whenever you have an issue, you are sure it will be answered within 24-36 hours.
This way, you can be sure your site will never experience as few downtime as possible, and your visitor will never have to wait forever for your page to load – which oftern causes visitors to leave a site out of waiting-for-boredom, before seeing what that page can offer.

I don’t plan to become professional with this; I’d like to connect with my hostees so that they may become my friends; I don’t do this for money, but only because I want to help all those wanna-be designers out there. I might not have all the time in the world but I hope, by offering some good packages and all the possible help, to give a small boute of happyness to all my hostees.
