Hello, guys.
As previously mentioned, there are big news: in order to make Ravissant Hosting better, I’ve decided to offer three different suffixes to my hostees; whoever applies from now on will be able to choose between three domain names, ravissant.org, luminousity.org and lumineuse.org….That’s right: I have purchased two more domains and another hosting package to have more space thus host more people and offer more choices; now, your subdomain can be chosen among name.ravissant.org or name.lumineuse.org or name.luminousity.org.

I have to tell you this, because it’s a bit strange. o.o
I don’t know if someone remembers that, when I decided to open this free service, the domain www.ravissant.org was actually my second choice for name; my first choice was www.maleficent.org but, when I searched for it on Namecheap, I found out it had already been registered, and I had to go with Ravissant….it happened again! XD
In this case, my first name choice was www.luminousity.org, but I stalled for a little more than one day before deciding to buy it along with WebHostingBuzz Buzz Light package and, when I went to Namecheap to register the domain using my iPad 2, it said luminousity.org had been taken; since I wanted to tell you who was the thief, I typed luminousity.org in Chrome but the browser said no such domain existed. So I went to Namecheap again, searched for luminousity.org…and it was still available!!
WTF?!?!?! Why hadn’t it been so the day before? I wouldn’t have registered lumineuse.org!
Alas. What is done is done; I bought luminousity.org too and – since I don’t wanna go through the hassle of changing main domain name – I’ve added it as Addon-domain on my cPanel and there’s that.

New layout and irrationality

Hello and belated happy new year!! .
This is a super-short news to let you know I didn’t abandon Ravissant.
I’m infact making a new theme right now – after browsing endlessly for one, without finding a decent one and having to stick with one of my old first ones. u.u The new theme will be ready during the week-end (gotta watch about 6 movie DVDs before. :p); stay tuned. I’m lazy, I’ve got dozen of premades – both mines and someone else’s – stored on my laptop and my Photoshop inspiration is dead as disco; that’s why I went and changed one of my stock designs site Aesir.me‘s premades into a wordpress theme…but I love the image and the colors, so it’s gonna stay.

Who’s not gonna stay is my hostee Gloria from G: her site has been stuck for two months on a WordPress-Login page; I contacted Gloria about this, she didn’t even bother to answer. She had to go.

Now, about the irrationality I mentioned.
The domain Ravissant.org, along with the package the site’s hosted on, is gonna expire in July this year – jeez, three years went in a flash – and I’m worried, because my host SurpassHosting no longer offers the shared-hosting package I purchased three years ago, and I’m a little afraid and wary of a couple of things.

1. Many companies bill their renewal invoices to clients months before expiring date…;
2. Since the package I purchased is no longer available, I don’t have an idea of how much the renewal fee will actually be.

Pure insanity…because it’s beginning of January, right now, and I still have 5 months before I’ll really need to worry about this; plus, I just have to contact SurpassHosting’s Sales Department when the time comes and everything will be sorted out without any hassle.

So, I’m gonna stop being stupid and I’ll go watching those six movie DVDs I mentioned earlier; see you next time, guys. Bye and take care. <3
